Privacy
The site uses only what it needs to work. For visitor statistics it uses Matomo (self-hosted on ifonlytherewasapage.com) and Google Analytics 4. If you accept the cookie banner, both run with full, cookie based measurement. If you decline, both keep counting visits in a cookieless, aggregate way that sets no identifier on your device, so we can see overall traffic but cannot profile you. Google Analytics 4 uses Consent Mode v2 for this, and Matomo runs with cookies disabled.
Cloudflare sits in front of the origin for caching and DDoS protection; its standard request logs apply.
Comments are moderated before they appear. Submitted comments are stored on the server in JSON. Links inside comments are never rendered as anchors. No third-party ad trackers, no Facebook or X SDKs.
The shared preview cards (og:image) are pre-generated at build time, not at request time, so no per-visitor render happens on Google or Twitter side either.
